Privacy

Plain language. No surprises.

You handed us your contact information in trust. This page explains what we do with it, what we don't, and how to get it back or out of our hands.

The short version: We only collect what you give us. We use it to follow up with you about Fear Not Foundation. We don't sell it, rent it, or trade it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

What we collect

We collect information only when you choose to give it to us. Specifically:

  • Form submissions. When you fill out a form on this site (give, serve, or receive), we collect the fields you fill in — typically name, email, phone, and a short message.
  • Email correspondence. When you email us directly, we keep that email so we can respond and follow up.
  • Basic site analytics. Our hosting provider records standard web traffic information — pages visited, approximate location, browser type. This is not tied to your identity unless you also submit a form.

We do not collect Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, payment card information, or health information through this website.

How we use it

  • To respond to you personally.
  • To follow up about the specific reason you reached out (giving, serving, or asking for help).
  • To send occasional updates about Fear Not Foundation, only if you opted in.
  • To comply with the legal and reporting obligations of a nonprofit corporation.

What we don't do

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.
  • We do not share donor lists with other nonprofits.
  • We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.
  • We do not use your story or your name publicly without your written permission.

Who sees your information inside the foundation

Form submissions are reviewed by Kevin Nezat (President) or Deanna Nezat (Secretary). Requests submitted through the "Receive" form — where someone is asking for help — are held in confidence and reviewed only by Kevin or Deanna. Information is shared with other directors, advisors, or partner organizations only when necessary to act on your request, and only to the minimum extent needed.

How long we keep it

We keep correspondence and form submissions as long as they are useful to the relationship, and longer if required by nonprofit recordkeeping rules (donations, in-kind gifts, and program activity are subject to retention rules under IRS and state nonprofit law). You can ask us to delete information that is not subject to those retention obligations — see below.

Your rights

You can write to us at any time and ask us to:

  • Tell you what we have on file for you.
  • Correct anything that's wrong.
  • Delete information we are not legally required to keep.
  • Stop contacting you.

Email kevin@fearnotfoundation.net. We answer.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses a small amount of standard browser storage to remember your session and to allow our hosting provider to report aggregate traffic. We do not run advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party tracking scripts.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, please email us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the "Last updated" date below and, where possible, notify people on our list directly. The current version is the one published on this page.
